Open House @ Brandywine Senior Living Moorestown 

On January 11th Kara Lee attended an open house at Brandywine Senior Living at Moorestown.  All attendees were treated to a massage, reiki, and aromatherapy. We finished with healthy smoothies made by the talented Brandywine team.  It was definitely a night for mind, body and spirit healing.

Grand Opening @ Artis Princeton 

On January 18th Jerry Rothkoff, Bryan Adler and Kara Lee were honored to attend the grand opening of Artis Senior Living of Princeton.  Artis Senior Living opened their doors for the first time to professionals and the local community to showcase their new Assisted Living.  What a spectacular event.  The Artis team went above everyone’s expectations to make their grand opening celebrations memorable.

NJSBA – Elder and Disability Law Section Meeting @ NJ Law Center

On January 22nd Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick to chair the Business Dinner Meeting of the Elder and Disability Law Section. The meeting was attended by other elder law attorneys throughout the state. At the meeting, the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on the elderly and the disabled was discussed, among other things. Did you know that the medical expense deduction will be increased to expenses in excess of 10% of adjustable gross income for the 2018 and 2019 taxable years? The new provision is scheduled to sunset after two years.

General Membership Meeting @ Gloucester County Bar Association

On January 24th Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to the Woodbury Station Café and attended the General Membership Meeting of the Gloucester County Bar Association, where she networked with other bar association members. The attendees discussed the Mock Trial competitions involving bright, talented and passionate students from local high schools. The Mock Trial Competition is now in full swing.

Laurel Brook Happy Hour @ Harvest Moorestown

On January  24th, Kara Lee and Jacinda Graham joined our professional partners and the Laurel Brook team for a happy hour.  Laurel Brook hosted this fabulous happy hour at Harvest Seasonal Grill in Moorestown to celebrate their new community.   It was the perfect opportunity to meet new staff members and mingle with professional friends.  We wish Laurel Brook continued success.

Burlington County Bar Association Women in Profession Committee Winter Soiree @ Braddock’s Tavern, Medford

On January 25th Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to Braddock’s Tavern in Medford, New Jersey, to attend the Winter Soiree of the Women in the Profession Committee of the Burlington County Bar Association. The event honored Burlington County Surrogate Maryann O’Brien as an outstanding woman in the profession.

In-service “Elder Law Hot Topics: What’s New Medicare, Medicaid, and VA” @ Powerback Voorhees

On January 18th Jerry Rothkoff,   presented an in-service “Elder Law Hot Topics: What’s New with Medicare, Medicaid and VA” to local Genesis Healthcare professionals at Genesis PowerBack in Voorhees. The topic prompted open discussion on the best way to care for our elderly clients, patients, and residents that may not have a support system in place.  Thank you to all who attended and made this a fun, interactive seminar

Kara is the Outreach Coordinator with the Rothkoff Law Group, and elder care law firm. Kara brings over 15 years of experience working with the elderly. Kara has the ability to build relationships with area long-term care providers is critical in ensuring that our clients are made aware of the many resources that are available to them. Kara graduated from the York College of Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking vacations, scuba diving, and skiing. She is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.
