March was a big month for Rothkoff Law Group. We said good bye to the first quarter of 2017 and welcomed the start of Spring! Spring is a busy time of year for people as the start to shake off the winter blues and plan for the future. It also helps that April is tax deadlines so people really start to think about money, investments, insurance, and most importantly planning.

Below is a look back at the month of March and a few highlights of where you may have seen one of our dedicated team members. March Madness networking event @ BrightView Greentree

On March 9th, Outreach Coordiantor, Kara Lee, attended a March Madness networking event hosted by BrightView Greentree.  The chili was prepared by Chef Brian and along with other delicious appetizers were a hit with everyone!  All attendees stayed until the end to see who won the 60 inch smart TV!

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration @ Brookdale Deptford

On March 15th, Kara Lee attended Brookdale Deptford’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration and the snow did not stop the P-A-R-T-Y.   It was cold outside but St. Patrick’s Day snacks and signature drinks kept everyone warm inside.  Kara’s favorite treats were the homemade irish potatoes made by the Brookdale Chef.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration @ Wyncote Place

On March 16th Kara Lee attended another fantastic St. Patrick’s Celebration and had an opportunity to network with professional friends this time at Wynocte Place.  The Wyncote team hosted a fun party with snacks and drinks to get everyone in the St. Patrick’s day spirit.  Attendees toured their beautiful community and were entertained by residents dressed as leprechauns.

Taste of Ireland @ Dresher Estates

On March 16th Bryan Adler, Kathleen Magee, and Nimisha D’Uva attended the Taste of Ireland event at Dresher Estates and networked with elder care professionals to celebrate St. Patrick’s day.

NJ Happy Hour @ Harvest

On March 15th, we had our first RLG happy hour of 2017!  Over 70 local healthcare professionals braved the snow to attend.  Harvest did an excellent job with the food and drinks.  Congrats to the raffle winners Stacey Rendino, Linda Graf and Diane Ramey.

Life Care Planning Law Firms Association Annual Conference

On Wednesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 11, 2017, seven of our Rothkoff Team Members traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to participate in the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association Annual Conference. Session topics included navigating communication with different generations, tips on how to address and validate family emotions during highly stressful caregiving situations, and leveraging social media to educate and provide support to caregivers.

HV Support Group @ Artis

On March 15th, Bryan Adler spoke with families of loved ones suffering from dementia and memory loss about care, financial and legal planning to avoid a crisis.

CEU Dinner 2 The ChopHouse: Positioning Yourself for Changing Demographics: The Future of Long-Term

On March 23rd we had the first RLG dinner seminar of 2017.  Jerold Rothkoff, Kara Lee,  Jacinda Graham, Janie De Leon-Male, and Pamela Rosenberger were all in attendance. It was a full house with amazing food and drinks, ChopHouse did a great job!  Jerry Rothkoff showed a video on the “Dementia Village”.

CEU Seminar with Right at Home @ the Mansion

On March 30th Jerold Rothkoff, Kara Lee, Janie De Leon-Male, and Bryan Adler all attended a CEU seminar for NJ healthcare professionals at The Mansion in Voorhees co-sponsored by Right at Home, Juniper Village and Rothkoff Law Group.   Jennifer Fitzpatrick, founder of Jenerations Health Education presented on “Navigating Communication with Different Generations: Reducing Drama and Conflict in Healthcare”.  It was a very interesting topic.

About Kara

Kara is the Outreach Coordinator with the Rothkoff Law Group, and elder care law firm. Kara brings over 15 years of experience working with the elderly. Kara has the ability to build relationships with area long-term care providers is critical in ensuring that our clients are made aware of the many resources that are available to them. Kara graduated from the York College of Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking vacations, scuba diving, and skiing. She is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.
