Last week we hosted our Inaugural Elder Care Symposium regarding the future of elder care!
We had an expert panel that discussed the topic of The Landscape of Elder Care Today & Tomorrow. All of the panelists agreed that there is too much fragmentation in our current health care system. An example of such fragmentation is Medicare’s lack of coverage for dental care.
Tuesday, April 17, 2018 is National Cheeseball Day. (This is not fake news). According to the National Day calendar website, there are two ways a cheeseball can be served:
- A cheese spread in the shape of a ball served with crackers, most often around Christmas in the U.S. This cheeseball is commonly made with softened cream cheese and other ingredients.
- Cheese puffs, which is a puffed corn snack, coated with a mixture of cheese or cheese flavored powders. Cheese puffs are manufactured by extruding heated corn dough through a die that forms the particular shape, most likely a ball shape.
Either method of eating a cheeseball requires an important element – teeth.
It is now time that federal regulates come to the realization that oral health is as important as any other type of health care. You can read more about this important issue here.
