On September 11th, Jacinda Graham, our NJ client services director, attended the End of Summer Cool Down at CareOne at Evesham Assisted Living, where the ice cream and our colleagues from the long-term care community were plentiful.

Networking Reception & Business Card Exchange @ Investors Bank

On September 13th, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer Esquire traveled to Investor’s Bank in Burlington, New Jersey on the evening of September 13, 2017 for a networking event and business card exchange hosted by the New Jersey State Bar Association and Investors’ Bank.

Open House @ Safety Outfitting Services, Williamstown

On September 14th, SOS in Williamstown had a spectacular grand re-opening party.  Complete with local vendors, catered food, and a deejay spinning some tunes.  The SOS group showcased their newly renovated office.  The day would not be complete without a speech from the Mayor and ribbon cutting.  Rothkoff Law Group wishes the SOS family continues success.

PA Wine Tasting @ Rose Bank Winery

On September 14th, our PA team was excited to host this intimate event at the lovely Rose Bank Winery.  Our team and a few guests were able to enjoy a  wine sampling and food pairing, learn about the history of the winery, and network with local healthcare professionals.

Open House @ Silver Health Care Center, Cherry Hill 

On September 14th,  Jacinda Graham, our NJ client services director, was one of many who welcomed the new leadership team at Silver Care Health Care Center in Cherry Hill. We wish them much success!

Being Mortal @ Care One Hamilton 

On September 14th, there was a showing of the documentary “Being Mortal” by Atul  Gawande at Care One Hamilton.  He examines his experiences as a surgeon, as he confronts the realities of aging and dying in his patient and in his family, as well as the limits of what he can do.  After the documentary, there was a panel discussion re: end of life.

Crabfest @ Gloucester County Bar Association 

On September 15th, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esquire travelled to Sicklerville, New Jersey on the afternoon of Friday to attend the Gloucester County Bar Association’s annual fundraiser, “Crabfest,” where Ms. Fearn-Zimmer, along with other lawyers, had the best afternoon ever, networking while eating crabs.

BCBA – Reception in Honor of Judge Marie Lihotz @ Riverton Country Club

On September 22nd, Jane M. Montgomery County Estate Planning Council @ William Penn Inn Blue Bell

On September 25th, Bryan Adler attended the monthly meeting of the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council on September 25.  This gathering of financial and legal professionals is both an opportunity to network as a well as educate.  The topic of this month’s meeting was “Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Law”.  Attendees learned about the law generally and the its implementation statewide.

South Jersey Market Leadership Council’s Subcommittee Meeting @ American Cancer Society

On September 26th, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer attended the American Cancer Society’s South Jersey Market Leadership Council’s subcommittee meeting on the evening of September 26, 2017 for a group brainstorming session to re-organize the South Jersey Market Council with greater independence and flexibility. Ms. Fearn-Zimmer served as ad hoc secretary and prepared the first draft of a self-assessment tool for the group’s members in hopes of further development of our LC foundation with essential member engagement surrounding an adopted sub-committee structure.

Annual Gloucester County Senior Expo @ Pitman, NJ

On September 27th, Jerry Rothkoff and Kara Lee attended the annual Gloucester County senior expo in Pitman, NJ.  We were able to mingle with local seniors and their families and network with other health care professionals.  Jerry Rothkoff was also asked to present “Elder Law Hot Topics” at one of their break out sessions.

Happy Hour @ Princeton Care Center

On September 28th, one of our staff members attended a Happy Hour event thrown by Princeton Care Center.  There were appetizers & drinks with music on the outdoor patio by the band Déjà Vu. Residents, families, Princeton Care Center staff and outside professionals were all welcome on this beautiful Fall evening.

CEU Seminar “Elder Law and the Modern Family” @ The Hearth at Drexel

On September 7th,  Bryan Adler spoke to 25+ elder care professionals, including Social Workers and Care Managers, on Elder Law and the Modern Family.  During the seminar Bryan discussed the changing landscape of relationships and families and how elder care professionals can prepare for these changes.  The attendees were presented with case studies to address various family dynamics issues that are likely to arise in the future.

CEU Seminar “Ethical Dilemmas in Elder Care: A Case Study Approach” @ Devry University 

On September 14th,  Bryan Adler spoke to 45+ elder care professionals, including Social Workers and Care Managers, on Ethical Dilemmas in Elder Care: A Case Study Approach.  During the seminar, Bryan presented attendees with various elder care dilemmas involving care, finances, and family.  The attendees then discussed how to navigate these issues in an ethical manner.

CEU Dinner Seminar “Crisis Planning: Dad Is Going Into A Nursing Home, How Do We Protect Mom?” @ Carlucci’s Waterfront

On September 18th, Rothkoff Law Group Dinner Series 2017 continued on  at Carlucci’s Waterfront in Mt. Laurel, NJ.  Jerry Rothkoff presented “Crisis Planning: Dad is going to a nursing home, how do we protect Mom?” to a lively group of healthcare professionals from South Jersey.  Thank you to Carlucci’s for excellent service and our wonderful guests for making this night so much fun!

Kara is the Outreach Coordinator with the Rothkoff Law Group, and elder care law firm. Kara brings over 15 years of experience working with the elderly. Kara has the ability to build relationships with area long-term care providers is critical in ensuring that our clients are made aware of the many resources that are available to them. Kara graduated from the York College of Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking vacations, scuba diving, and skiing. She is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.
