Eloy van Hal is an internationally acclaimed speaker & founder of the world renowned dementia village, The Hogeweyk, in the Netherlands.
These day-long symposiums will highlight current topics about the care of seniors presented by a host of leading experts in the field of eldercare.
The presentations and panel discussions will provide professionals who work with the elderly an opportunity to learn valuable information, network with their peers and gain a better understanding of eldercare issues. Attendees will gain knowledge and skills that will enable them to help seniors and their families navigate through the difficult issues involving the aging process.
Following registration, an hour of networking and opening remarks, each symposium will begin with an expert panel discussing the current landscape of eldercare. Next, Mr. van Hal will provide a dynamic look at dementia villages he has created in the Netherlands and discuss how his concepts can impact eldercare in the United States. During a buffet lunch, Rothkoff Law Group will present its inaugural Professional Caregiver Award. The afternoon will be comprised of three breakout sessions concentrating on forward-thinking care and treatment options for the elderly and a plenary session focusing on Enhancing Meaningful Living with Dementia: Building Community Through the Arts presented by Susan Shifrin, PhD, Founder and Executive Director of ARTZ Philadelphia. Throughout the day there will be opportunities for attendees to experience a Virtual Dementia Tour presented by Arden Courts of Cherry Hill.
