by Jerold E. Rothkoff, Esquire

Janie DeLeon Male, our Director of Care Coordination, has been with the Rothkoff Law Group since May 2006. Janie joined our office after receiving her MSW from Bryn Mawr College and completing an internship at JFCS in Cherry Hill, NJ. Effective July 31, 2019, Janie will be leaving our office. During her thirteen year plus tenure with the Rothkoff Law Group, Janie has become a well-respected local, statewide and national authority on care coordination for seniors within an elder care law office.

Janie has been integral to the growth of our Life Care Planning model in advocating for the senior population. She has helped train our other elder care coordinators, as well as care coordinators throughout the country. Janie’s friendly and compassionate way has been immensely important in helping families navigate the long-term care system.

On a personal note, many new motor vehicles come equipped with a lane departure warning system, which automatically takes steps to ensure the vehicle stays in its lane. Only if life was so simple. We all could use our own lane departure warning system for when we stray down the wrong road. On a professional level, Janie has been my lane departure warning system. I could always rely on Janie to help me understand the deeper issues involved and move me back into my “lane.” I am better for it and so are our clients.

I ask you to join us in wishing Janie much good luck and continued success in her future endeavors. Janie, you have left a lasting legacy which we intend to carry on through our elder care coordinators and the entire Rothkoff team. Thank you for making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and ours as well.
