Network after Dark @ Urban Village

On March 27th Bryan Adler and Kathleen Magee attended “Network after Dark,” a networking group that introduces individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds.  The monthly events are held in different venues throughout Philadelphia.  March’s event was held at Urban Village Brewing Company in Northern Liberties.

Painting with a Twist @ Wyncote Place

On March 30th  Kathleen Magee attended the Painting with a Twist event hosted by Wyncote Place.  Wyncote Place held their event in the beautiful memory care assisted living in Pennsylvania.  The group had fun painted while enjoying delicious wine and food and even better company.

“Documents Needed to Avoid a Crisis” @ The Villages of Flowers Mill

On March 1st Bryan Adler and Kara Lee graciously accepted the invitation to meet with the wonderful residents of The Villages of Flowers Mill in Langhorne PA. They were given a tour of the absolutely beautiful club house and shown all the amenities it has to offer.  After, Bryan Adler discussed “Documents Needed to Avoid a Crisis” with over 60 Flowers Mill residents.   They were also invited to enjoy coffee and snacks with the attendees following the presentation.

“NJ and PA: Elder Law Across State Lines” Breakfast CEU Seminar @ Rothkoff Trevose Office

On March 2nd Bryan Adler hosted 25 professionals in our  Trevose office for a Continuing Education Seminar detailing the public benefits and long term care differences between PA and NJ.  The discussion included accessibility of care, asset protection options in each state, and availability of Medicaid and Veterans benefits to offset care costs.   All future Trevose CEU’s will be held in our new office, still located in the Interplex, on the 4th floor of building Seven.

“Changing Demographics: The Future of Long-Term Care” CEU Seminar @ Hospice Compassus, Willingboro

On March 20th Jerry, Janie and Kara enjoyed lunch and an in-service with the talented team of Compassus Hospice.  Jerry Rothkoff presented “Changing Demographics: The Future of Long-Term Care” and discussed issues impacting the senior population and health care today.

“Modern Family: Elder Law Planning for Mixed and Non-Traditional Families” Dinner CEU Seminar @ Catelli Duo

On March 22nd Rothkoff Law Group hosted its first dinner seminar of 2018 at Catelli Duo. Over 35 southern NJ health care professionals attended.  Bryan Adler began the seminar “Modern Family: Elder Law Planning for Mixed and Non-Traditional Families” and Jerry Rothkoff concluded the seminar.  The topic prompted many excellent questions and discussion from the group.

“Capacity, Competency, and Ethical Interventions: A Legal Discussion for Healthcare Providers”  CEU Seminar @ Comfort Keepers Hamilton

On March 29th Bryan Adler presented Capacity, Competency, and Ethical Interventions: A Legal Discussion for Healthcare Providers” to professionals from the surrounding Hamilton NJ area.  This was our first of four seminars at Comfort Keepers of Hamilton.  We are happy to introduce Comfort Keepers of Hamilton as the newest host site for our 2018 focus on the professional series.  Thank you for making the first of many seminars a success!

“Legal, Financial and Social Considerations” Joint Seminar with Vince Notarianni @ Lambertis 

On March 29th Bryan Adler, in conjunction with Financial Advisor, Vincent Notarianni, discussed pressing considerations for those retiring and recently retired.  Over 40 attendees enjoyed dinner at Lamberti’s in Langhorne, while Bryan and Vince reviewed legal, financial, and social issues facing baby boomers today. This was a wonderful event. It was well-attended by clients of both Mr. Notarianni and the Rothkoff Law Group. The attendees enjoyed a lovely dinner while gaining knowledge about the ins and outs of  the legal, financial and social issues for those who will soon retire, or who have already begun their retirement journey.

Kara is the Outreach Coordinator with the Rothkoff Law Group, and elder care law firm. Kara brings over 15 years of experience working with the elderly. Kara has the ability to build relationships with area long-term care providers is critical in ensuring that our clients are made aware of the many resources that are available to them. Kara graduated from the York College of Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking vacations, scuba diving, and skiing. She is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.
