Melanie Kaplan received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, cum laude, from The George Washington University and her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University- Newark. Ms. Kaplan is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Ms. Kaplan began her career in Elder Law as a law clerk for a local firm, and upon her graduation from Rutgers University-Newark, she realized this was the area of law she wished to pursue. Ms. Kaplan has gained several years of valuable experience in Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Guardianship, Medicaid and Estate Administration, working for Elder Law firms in the South Jersey Area.
Ms. Kaplan is a member of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Camden, Burlington and Gloucester County Bar Associations.
In addition, Ms. Kaplan devotes her time as a volunteer to the American Diabetes Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and local animal shelters. When she is not working, Ms. Kaplan enjoys cycling, baking and spending time with her husband and three corgis.
