On October 1st Rothkoff Law Group hosted its annual NJ Client Appreciation Brunch at Woodcrest Country Club.  It was wonderful to see so many of our clients!  A big thank you to all of or our clients for making this event so special.

Wilmington Trust Breakfast @ Cafe Aldo Lamberti

On October 4th Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. attended the Wilmington Trust breakfast at Café Aldo Lamberti, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The event featured a panel presentation on the value of diversity in driving business profits.

Rothkoff PA Client Appreciation Brunch @ The Buck Hotel

On October 8th Rothkoff Law Group held its annual Pennsylvania Client Appreciation Brunch at The Buck Hotel in Feasterville.  The event was a huge success and it was great to see so many of our wonderful clients outside of the office.  Thank you to everyone who was able to attend.  We are already looking forward to next year.

Annual Reception for Diverse Judges @ New Jersey State Bar Association

On October 11, 2017, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to New Brunswick, New Jersey to attend the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Reception for Diverse Judges. The event, which was organized and hosted by the NJSBA Diversity Committee and the Federal Practice and Procedure Section, recognized Judges Charles W. Dortch, Jr., and Honorable Jose L. Linares with awards.

Rothkoff Professional Partner Event @ The Churchville Inn

On October 11th Rothkoff Law Group hosted its 2nd annual PA Client Appreciation Cocktail party at The Churchville Inn.  This “super scary” Halloween themed event was the talk of the town as our professional friends and partners enjoyed drinks, fabulous food, and good company.  Some even came dressed to cheer on the Eagles.  You never know what surprises a Rothkoff party will have!

NJ NAELA Phone Meeting

On October 12th, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. participated in the New Jersey NAELA meeting on October 12, 2017. The meeting discussed solutions to delays by the counties in processing Medicaid applications, caregiver-child litigation, and the treatment of irrevocable trusts by the State Medicaid Agency Director.

JSBA General Council Meeting @ New Jersey State Bar Association’s Elder and Disability Law Committee 

On October 13, 2017, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to New Brunswsick, New Jersey, where she participated in the annual state bar association’s general council meeting as the Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Elder and Disability Law Committee.

American Cancer Society Subcommittee Meeting @ Cherry Hill 

On October 16th  Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. participated in the South Jersey Market Council’s meeting of the American Cancer Society in Cherry Hill. The meeting focused on the new structure of the South Jersey Market Council and the new roles of its members.

Rothkoff Professional Partner Event @ The ChopHouse

On October 19th Rothkoff Law Group hosted its highly anticipated annual NJ professional appreciation cocktail party at The ChopHouse.  With over 100 local health care professionals in attendance, this was truly an amazing night.  We look forward to many more years of working together.

MVNA Annual Wine and Spirits Night@ The Mansion

On October 20th several members of the Rothkoff Law Group team joined long-term care professionals from Southern New Jersey at the MVNA annual wine and spirits night.  This charitable event included samples of food and drinks from local restaurants, wineries, and distilleries.

New Jersey State Bar Association – Elder & Disability Law Section Roundtable @ NJ Law Center

On October 23, 2017, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. traveled to New Brunswick, New Jersey to attend a roundtable educational event on the enforcement of arbitration clauses in nursing home admission agreements. The event featured Shirley Whitenack, Esquire and Victoria Schall, Esquire, as speakers.

BCBA – Meet Your Judge & Law Clerks @ Ramblewood Country Club

On October 24, 2017, Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. attended the annual Meet Your Judge & Law Clerks dinner event at the Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel New Jersey, where the Burlington County judges’ secretaries and new law clerks for the 2017-2018 season.

PNC Wealth Management Coffee & Comments @Maggiano’s Little Italy

On October 25th Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. networked with other members of the estate planning and financial services communities at the PNC Wealth Management Coffee & Comments at Maggiano’s Little Italy. The event discussed financial market projections.

Happy Hour Networking Event @ Lutheran Crossings

On October 25th The Lutheran Crossings team hosted a fabulous fall happy hour at their beautiful community. Complete with pumpkin painting and other Halloween festivities they did not forget anything.  Oh yeah, did I mention the delicious Stocks Philadelphia pound cake and other delectable fall goodies!  What a wonderful opportunity to network and reconnect with professional friends.  As always, great job Lutheran Crossings!

Gloucester County Bar Association – General Membership Meeting @ Woodbury Station Café

On October 25, 2017 Jane M. Fearn-Zimmer, Esq. dined and networked with other attorneys at the general membership meeting of the Gloucester County Bar Association at the Woodbury Station Café in Woodbury, New Jersey. Ms. Fearn-Zimmer is an active member of the Gloucester County and Burlington County Bar Associations.

The 4th Annual Parkinson’s Disease Symposium @ Fox Rehab CH

On Monday, October 27th, Kathleen Magee, Misha D’uva and Danielle Salley, members of our care coordination team, attended The 4th Annual Parkinson’s Disease Symposium at Fox Rehab in Cherry Hill.  The event offered an array of speakers from Cooper Hospital, Fox Rehabilitation and other professionals to offer a better understanding of the course of Parkinson’s disease, as well as an update on current research and treatment options including pharmaceuticals and deep brain stimulation (DPS).   Many professional partners in our community set-up tables and offered information in a collaborative effort to help those that may be affected by the disease directly or are caring for someone with Parkinson’s disease.

PA CEU Dinner Seminar “Positioning Yourself for Changing Demographics” @ Kitchen Bar 

On October 5th Bryan Adler presented “Positioning Yourself for Changing Demographics” to a lively group of healthcare professionals at Kitchen Bar in Abington PA.  Dinner and drinks were enjoyed by all while a friendly debate over current topics related to health care today were discussed.

Seminar for Patients “EP Checkup: Docs Needed to Avoid Crisis” @ Abramson Medical Center 

On October 11th Bryan Adler and Kathleen Magee spoke at Abramson Medical Center in Bryn Mawr regarding Estate Planning documents to avoid a crisis.  Attendees included long term care and medical professionals, as well as members of the community.

PA CEU Seminar “The Future of Dementia Care” @ Holy Redeemer 

On October 18th Bryan Adler presented a continuing education seminar “The Future of Dementia Care” at Holy Redeemer Lafayette.  During the presentation Bryan showed a short video on the “dementia village” in the Netherlands.  This sparked conversation and debate about health care in the US and what is working and what needs to be changed.

CEU Seminar “Capacity Competency and Ethical Interventions” @ Crossroads Hospice 

On October 19th Bryan Adler presented a continuing education seminar at Crossroads Hospice on Ethical Dilemmas when working with Clients of Diminished Capacity.  Attendees included social workers, case managers, and othelong-termrm care professionals.

CEU Dinner “NJ and PA: Elder Law Across State Lines” @ Terra Nova 

On October 26th Rothkoff Law Group Dinner Series 2017 continued at Terra Nova in Sewell NJ. Jerry Rothkoff presented  “NJ and PA: Elder Law Across State Lines” to a very inquisitive group of health care professionals from South Jersey.  Thank you to Terra Nova for excellent service and our wonderful guests for making this night so much fun!

Kara is the Outreach Coordinator with the Rothkoff Law Group, and elder care law firm. Kara brings over 15 years of experience working with the elderly. Kara has the ability to build relationships with area long-term care providers is critical in ensuring that our clients are made aware of the many resources that are available to them. Kara graduated from the York College of Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking vacations, scuba diving, and skiing. She is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association.
