At Rothkoff Law Group, we honor our veterans in our hearts every day and acknowledge the true significance of holidays like Memorial Day.

Like many Philadelphia natives, my dad’s parents retired to the Jersey shore. Although my grandfather passed away when I was just an infant, I had the opportunity to spend every summer with my grandmother in Sea Isle City. Memorial Day weekend always marked the unofficial start of the summer season.

It is important to remember why we celebrate Memorial Day. Unlike Veteran’s Day that remembers all who have served our country, Memorial Day is to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, losing their lives in the line of duty. It is important to acknowledge that it is because of their dedication to our country, we have the freedom and liberties that we enjoy every day.

At Rothkoff Law Group, we recognize all the sacrifices made by veterans. Veteran’s benefits planning is just one of the many areas our office can assist you or your loved one. Qualification for a VA benefit is only one of several concerns that must be considered when exploring long-term care options. As you struggle to provide dignified long-term care for a wartime veteran and/or a surviving spouse, we can help you understand the options. We are your advocates.

Our team of elder care coordinators assists the clients with navigating the VA Health System to allow veterans to access quality care through the Veteran’s Administration. As care needs increase, the ECCs assist the clients in exploring care such as increasing support in the home or transitioning to a higher, more appropriate level of care while our public benefits team guides them through the financial application for VA benefits.

It is truly an honor to work with veterans and their loved ones. While you enjoy your small family gatherings to celebrate the “unofficial” start of the season, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
