Carrie L. Scattergood is a practicing Pennsylvania and New Jersey Elder Care attorney and partner at Rothkoff Law Group. Her practice focuses on elder law, estate planning, asset protection, guardianships, and life care planning. She also oversees a team of experienced associate attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and elder care professionals.
Carrie practices law through the lens of care, compassion, and empathy. She provides holistic services to her clients, and their caregivers, with legal counsel grounded in understanding and respect. It is important that her clients are confident not only with the legal services they receive, but also that they feel supported during challenging life transitions.
She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bar Associations, Bucks County Bar Association, and Mercer County Bar Association. She also represents Rothkoff Law Group through presentations on elder law issues to communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Carrie received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School. After law school, Carrie clerked for the Honorable James F. Mulvihill, J.S.C. in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and then went into private practice for several years with her father.
When not practicing law, Carrie enjoys spending time with loved ones and in nature. She lives in Mercer County, New Jersey, with her two daughters, two cats, and one rambunctious dog.
